Brick & Brew Athletes of the Week: Borinsky & Cooper

The Big Green was rolling in "Football" victories this week. Senior running back Rashaad Cooper ran for 112 yards to lead the football team to a 41-0 win over Georgetown. On the soccer pitch, senior Remy Borinsky booted the first goal against UNH before the Big Green finished the game, 2-1, in overtime. She followed that up with a penalty kick in the 3-2 win over Albany.
Their efforts are rewarded by being named the Hanover Brick and Brew Athletes of the Week.

Rashaad Cooper, Sr., Tracy, Calif. RB, Football
Senior Rashaad Cooper led the Dartmouth ground game with his first career 100-yard rushing performance, going for 112 on just 16 carries (7.0-yard average) with one touchdown. His 51-yard burst on the Big Green's second possession set the tone for the rest of the day as Dartmouth blanked visiting Georgetown, 41-0, for the team's first shutout on opening day in 42 years. He also caught one pass for four yards and scored his touchdown late in the third quarter by stretching the ball over the goal line for his 3-yard score.

Borinsky played a pivotal role for the Big Green in the team's victories at New Hampshire and over Albany with two goals. She first gave Dartmouth the lead at UNH with just nine seconds left in the first half, Dartmouth would go on to win 2-1 in overtime. She then made the most of a penalty kick to tie the match at two in the 66th minute at home against Albany in a game that Dartmouth won 3-2.
