Dartmouth Women Dominate in Tri-Meet Victory in NYC

Big Green cruise to win over Yale and Columbia.

NEW YORK – The Dartmouth women's track & field team came away from Friday's tri-meet at The Armory in Manhattan the victors over Columbia and Yale.

The Big Green ran away from their two opponents with 86 points, while the Lions (59) and Bulldogs (36) trailed behind.
 HIGHLIGHTS
Dartmouth dominated the high jump, taking all four scoring spots with Maria Garman (1.72m) earning the win. Abigail Burke (1.67m), Camille Landon (1.67m) and Zoe Dainton (1.62m) took the next three spots to round out the scoring.
Cha'Mia Rothwell won the 60m hurdles in 8.63, returning from an injury in a return to her usual form atop the podium.
Rothwell continued her winning ways in the long jump, taking the top spot with a leap of 5.95m, nearly a half-meter more than the second-place jumper.
Another event that the Green dominated was the weight throw as Lily Lockhart (14.74m), Rachel Donner (13.87m) and Julianna Thomson (13.73m) claimed the top three spots.
Caroline Walter was the winner of the 400m, crossing the line in 56.95. Elizabeth Wilson was fourth in 58.65.
Grace Thompson was the winner of the 1000m in 2:54.45. Lauren Archer was fourth and picked up one point for the Big Green.
Nicole Deblasio was second in the final of the 60m in 7.84 as well as the 200m in 25.12. Folasade Akinfe was fourth in the 200m to earn a point with a 25.83. Akinfe was second in the triple jump as her best leap was measured at 11.84m.
