HANOVER, N.H. – The 2019 softball schedule features trips to South Carolina, Florida and California. The Big Green face two Women's College World Series participants from last year before the team returns to the east coast to begin Ivy League play on March 23rd.

The Big Green begin their season at the Charleston Southern Invitational on Feb. 22 where they play against Appalachian State and the hosts Charleston Southern. The next day, Dartmouth faces Radford who finished 36-19 last season and advanced to the Big South championship, they they take on the College of Charleston. The Big Green wrap up their Carolina trip against Iowa State from the Big 12.

From there, Dartmouth goes to Florida to compete for three days in the University of Central Florida Invite. The Big Green take on Louisiana Tech and UCF on March 1st. They will then face Toledo on the 2nd and 3rd, the Rockets went 35-23 last season and earned a spot in the National Invitation Softball Championship. Dartmouth concludes the UCF with a meeting against the defending National Champion Seminoles of Florida State who defeated Washington to capture the program's 16th National Championship.

The schedule remains tough as the Big Green take on Oklahoma to kick off the CSUN/Loyola Marymount Tournament in California. The Sooners went 57-5 last season and fell to Washington in the Women's College World Series. From there it is an all California event, Dartmouth finishes its non-conference games against CSUN, Cal Poly, Loyola Marymount and Cal State Fullerton before starting Ivy League play at Columbia on March 23rd.  Â

Dartmouth then plays its first home series against Penn on March 30th and 31st. The Big Green have two more series at home against Harvard in mid-April and Princeton in early May to conclude the regular season before the Ivy League tournament gets underway on May 11th.

The Big Green finished 22-18 last season with a 16-5 mark in conference play, capturing the Ivy League regular season title.
