LIVE STATS
SATURDAY
Dartmouth is at Penn on Saturday for a critical Ivy League contest. The Big Green most likely need to win out the rest of their conference games to claim the league championship, while the Quakers are in good shape with a 1-0-1 Ivy record.
LAST TIME OUT
- Despite outshooting Yale 13-10 and 7-5 on goal, the Big Green fell 3-1 to the Bulldogs on the road.
- Yale got on the board in the first minute off an own goal and struck again in the 50th and 54th minute, both off set pieces.
- Henry Baldwin scored for the Big Green in the 58th minute to cut into the deficit.
- Dartmouth outshot Yale 7-2 in the final 32 minutes of the match but could not close the gap.
SCOUTING PENN
- The Quakers have played a tough schedule and are in a good spot with a 4-4-2 record after their first 10 games.
- Penn is 1-0-1 in the Ivy league which has them second place in the standings.
- The Quakers are the third lowest scoring team in the Ivy League with 10 goals on the season, but their defense has allowed the second fewest with 11.
- Early in the season, Penn fell to No. 19 St. Johns, 1-0, they then tied No. 24 Rutgers, 1-1. Their Ivy win was against Cornell (3-2) and the draw came at Columbia (1-1).
- Joey Bhangdia is tied for the conference lead with six goals which accounts for 60% of his teams scoring.
AGAINST THE QUAKERS
- Dating back to 1916, Penn leads the all-time series, 32-25-9 over Dartmouth.
- The Big Green are on a three-game winning streak in the series. Before that, Penn won three straight, so the series is tied 3-3-0 since 2013.
- Last season in Hanover, Dartmouth came away with a 3-1 victory, Tiger Graham scored twice, and Kota Sakurai had the third.
CHAMPIONSHIP CHANCES
- Dartmouth is currently tied for fourth place in the Ivy League standings with a ton of soccer left to play.
- The Big Green do not have much wiggle room. A two-loss team has only won the Ivy League in 1964 (Dartmouth) and 1975 (Brown & Cornell).
- Dartmouth will most likely have to be perfect for the remainder of their conference schedule to win the Ivy League.
