ETNA, N.H. - The Dartmouth equestrian team hosted the first of two home shows of the fall season this past Saturday. The Big Green finished in a strong fourth place and ended in a tight race trailing third by only a single point and second by a mere two points.
The day was off to a good start with sophomore
Claire Azar claiming second place with a strong performance in her Open Fences class. Freshman
Anna Sandell also had a great ride in Intermediate Fences also taking second place in her class.
Junior
Nancy Curtis had a beautiful ride, winning her Limit Fences class and remaining undefeated in Limit Fences for this season. Curtis also qualified for Regionals in Limit Fences and pointed up into Intermediate Fences.
In the afternoon, sophomore
Tori Bergstein also had a good ride in Limit Flat, earning second place in a competitive class out of nine riders. Senior
Meghan Poth also significantly helped the team by taking home a third place for the team in Intermediate Flat.
The team is looking forward to this upcoming weekend and coming back with a strong performance at UNH this Saturday.
