CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Dartmouth women's indoor track & field team kicked off the 2019-20 season Saturday night at Harvard's Crimson Opener.

The Big Green finished third with 23 points, led by first-place showings from
Cha'Mia Rothwell (60mH),
Zoe Dainton (high jump) and
Julia Valenti (pole vault).

Rothwell was first after the preliminaries with an 8.54 to qualify for the final where she ran an 8.33 to win and secure the five points. The senior also took third in the long jump (5.71m), edging out classmate
Folasade Akinfe (5.64m) by one spot.

Dainton cleared 1.74 to win her event, while Valenti was the top competitor in the pole vault thanks to a 3.95m height to her credit.

The first of three straight home meets over a month's time is ahead as Dartmouth hosts UNH, Maine and Vermont next Saturday at Leverone Field House.
