Schroder went 7-8 (.875) at the plate in the Yale series
PRINCETON, N.J. – For the second time this season, Micah Schroder was selected by the Ivy league as the Player of the Week for her strong performance at Cornell on Saturday and Sunday.
Schroder reached base in all but one of her 11 plate appearances this weekend, she hit .875 (7-8) with two walks and was hit by a pitch. Production wise, Schroder smacked two doubles for nine RBIs and came around to score seven runs. She finished the series with a 1.125 slugging percentage and a .909 on base percentage.
Schroder went 2-2 at the plate in game one with a three RBIs double in the fifth inning. In game two, she was a perfect 3-3 at the dish with four runs batted in, two runs scored and drew a walk. Schroder finally was unable to reach base every time in game three, but was still able to go 2-3 with a two RBIs single and a walk.
For the season, Schroder currently leads the Ivy League and is third in the nation in batting average (.477), slugging percentage (.873) and on base percentage (.541). She is second in the league in home runs (6), RBIs (30), fourth in doubles (9) and is currently on a 10 game hitting streak.
