Cha'Mia Rothwell has advanced to Saturday night's quarterfinals in the 100m hurdles.

The sprinter ran a season-best time of 13.50 in the first round of the event at the 2019 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field East Regional Friday at North Florida's Hodges Stadium.

The three-time Ivy League champion in the 100m hurdles, Rothwell earned one of the six at-large berths into Saturday night's quarterfinal race (7:05 p.m.) with a shot to move on to nationals.

In the 3000m steeplechase,
Lauren Sapone ran a 10:26.47, claiming 24th. Sapone was hindered by a fall on the second barrier of the fifth lap, costing her a shot at a better time and the possibility to move on.
