MIcah Schroder hit .538 with eight RBIs for the week
PRINCETON, N.J. – For the third time this season, Micah Schroder has collected the Ivy League Player of the Week award for her performances at Boston College and in the Big Green's sweep against Princeton.
Schroder had at least one hit in each of Dartmouth's four games in the week. In the final four games of the season, Schroder batted .538 (7-13) with a walk and drove home eight runs with a home run and a double. For the week, Schroder had a .846 slugging percentage and an on base percentage of .600.
To begin the week, Schroder was responsible for both of Dartmouth's runs at Boston College. She finished 2-3 at the plate with a walk and laced a two-RBI single in the third inning in Chestnut Hill. Schroder then drove in two more in the Big Green's 8-6 game one win over Princeton on Saturday. In game two, she had her best game going a perfect 3-3 with a home run, four RBIs, two runs scored and a walk. To close the week, Schroder secured a base hit in the first inning of Dartmouth's 1-0 victory.
From Houston, Texas, Schroder currently ranks fourth in the nation in batting average (.473), 16th in on base percentage (.539) and 36th in slugging percentage (.786). All of those categories lead the Ivy League and she is tied for the conference lead in hits (53) and RBIs (40). She is also third in the league in home runs (7) and tied for fifth in doubles (10).
Junior shortstop Calista Almer, junior designated player Tatyanah Castillo and freshman pitcher Madie Augusto were all named to the honor roll.
