HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth softball head coach
Jennifer Williams has announced the hiring of Amy Meyer as an assistant coach. Meyer comes to Hanover after spending the last five years as the head coach at Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas.

"I'm very excited to welcome Amy Meyer to the Dartmouth Softball staff," said Williams. "She brings experience, drive, and unfailing energy. We look forward to bringing Amy and her family to Hanover and to Dartmouth Athletics!"

During her tenure as head coach at Schreiner, Meyer led her team to the program's best conference finish in school history with a second-place mark and a 23-13-1 overall record in 2018. Meyer has coached 22 All-Conference players and the first student-athlete in Schreiner Softball history to earn a national award.

Prior to Schreiner, Meyer was an assistant coach at Northeast Texas Community College during the 2014 season. Before that, she was a graduate assistant at her alma matar, Hardin-Simmons University, for the 2013 year. Adding to her coaching experience, Meyer has been an assistant coach with multiple Texas select ball programs.
Meyer was a four-year member on the Hardin-Simmons University Cowgirl softball program where her team won the American Southwest Conference West Division title. Over the course of her career, Meyer led categories in runs scored, triples, walks, stolen bases, sacrifice flies, double plays, and assists. She also earned multiple accolades including First Team All-ASC, Second Team All-ASC, All-ASC honorable mention and ASC All-Tournament Team.
Meyer received her masters of science degree in kinesiology, sports recreation and counseling as well as a bachelor of behavioral sciences in sports fitness and leisure studies both from Hardin-Simmons University.
Coach Meyer is a member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) and currently comes to Hanover with her wife, two rescue dogs, and two rescue cats. She is passionate about developing young women and enjoys staying active through lifting, sports, and outdoor recreational activities.
