BOSTON – The Dartmouth women's track & field team sits in first place after one day of competition at the 2020 New England Championship at the Reggie Lewis Center.

The Big Green earned 53.5 points in seven scoring events Friday with second-place UConn posting 40.33 points.

HIGHLIGHTS:
- Senior Julia Valenti had the performance of the day for Dartmouth, winning the pole vault (4.00m) and claiming 10 points. Olivia Goodwin (4th), Brooke Brunet (5th) and Lauren Ross (6th) combined to add 11.5 more points in the event.
- Cha'Mia Rothwell finished second in the long jump with her final leap of the day producing a 5.93m mark to help her add eight points to the team standings.
- Zoe Dainton (6) and Camille Landon (5) combined for 11 points in the high jump, claiming third and fourth, respectively, with marks of 1.71m.
- Ariana Gragg was fourth in the pentathlon with 3278 points. She, along with Shanthi Hiremath (6th) and Gabriela Fasanell (8th), combined for nine points.
- Lily Lockhart was fifth in the weight throw (16.81m) to earn four points.
- Rothwell was also second in the prelims of the 60m hurdles in 8.56.
