HANOVER, N.H. – Sophomore
Brooke Plonka has been named the Ivy League pitcher of the week as announced by the conference office on Monday.

The Marilla, New York native was dominant in Dartmouth's opening weekend at the Charleston Classic.

Plonka first entered in relief in game one against No. 25 Virginia Tech and shut down the Hokies, striking out five over the final 2.0 innings.

She then earned her first start of the year against Charleston and picked up the win with 14 K's in a complete-game shutout.

Adding to her impressive weekend, Plonka helped throw a combined no-hitter against North Carolina A&T where she struck out five over 3.1 innings of work.

Through four appearances, including three starts in the first five games, Plonka boasts a 1-0 record, 1.29 ERA with 25 strikeouts in 16.1 innings pitched and is holding opponents to a .197 batting average. Â
