HANOVER, N.H. – Senior infielder
Micah Schroder is among the 50 student-athletes on the 2020 USA Softball Player of the Year Watch List.
Schroder is the only player from the Ivy League named to the list and is one of two represented from the New England region.
The reigning Ivy League Player of the Year, Schroder set program records in batting average (.473) and RBIs (40), she also had the second-best slugging percentage in a single season (.786).
From Houston, Texas, Schroder finished the season with seven home runs, 10 doubles and two triples. She had 17 multi-hit games, 12 multi-RBI games and an on-base streak of 23 games.
The top 25 finalists for the 2020 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year award will be announced April 22. While an athlete does not have to be on the Watch List to be considered for the top 25, the eventual USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year will come from the top 25 finalists. The top 10 finalists will be announced May 6 and the top three announced May 20. The 2020 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year will be revealed May 26.
