The Big Green collected 76 points in the poll
HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth softball team has been tabbed fourth with 76 points in the 2020 Ivy League preseason media poll, as announced by the conference office Wednesday morning.
The Big Green finished tied for fourth place last season after going 10-11 in conference play with an overall record of 13-27.Â
Columbia was tabbed to finish first with 120 points and 10 first-place votes, while Penn garnered 112 points and four top-votes for second place and Harvard collected 91 points and the final two first-place votes for third. Dartmouth is slotted behind those teams with Princeton (65), Yale (60), Brown (32) and Cornell (27) rounding out the poll.
Second-year head coach Jen Williams returns reigning Ivy League Player of the Year Micah Schroder along with All-Ivy Honorable Mention selection Calista Almer.
The season begins on February 21 at the Charleston Classic against Virginia Tech, who is receiving votes in the preseason USA Today/NFCA Coaches poll.
