Incoming Football Recruiting Class Announced

A total of 29 recruits and three walk-ons join the Big Green roster
HANOVER, N.H. — Buddy Teevens, the Robert L. Blackman Head Football Coach at Dartmouth College, announced his incoming recruits for the fall of 2020 with a total of 29 student-athletes. Among the recruits are five defensive backs, five offensive linemen, four defensive linemen, three running backs, three quarterbacks, three wide receivers, three linebackers and three tight ends.
The student-athletes come from 17 different states with California boasting the most with four student-athletes. Florida and Pennsylvania each have three recruits, while Illinois, Massachusetts, New York, Ohio and Tennessee have two apiece. Other states represented in the class are Alaska, Colorado, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, North Carolina, Texas and Washington.
One of the recruits, Jack Dyett, is the son of former Dartmouth women's basketball player Sara Bone '94, who was an Academic All-Ivy League selection in 1992. Tyson McCloud, meanwhile, is the son of former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Tyrus McCloud (1997-98), and the father of Tevita Moimoi was a longtime rugby player for Tonga and is still active in the rugby community.
In addition, the Big Green will welcome three walk-ons to the squad — a pair of running backs and a linebacker — one hailing from Massachusetts, one from Texas and another from Utah.
Dartmouth is coming off a 2019 season in which it went 9-1 overall and 6-1 in the Ivy League to earn a share of its 19th Ivy League title, most in the conference, plus ended the year ranked in the top 25 for the second straight campaign. The 2020 season is scheduled to begin on Sept. 19 when the Big Green host the University of New Haven.
