Both athletes hail from the Land of Lincoln
This week both athletes hail from the Land of Lincoln. Senior quarterback Derek Kyler from DeKalb, Illinois, was a key member of the football team in an upset of No. 23 UNH on Saturday. Junior Taite Ryan, who makes her home in Winnetka, led the Big Green volleyball team to a 2-0 weekend, downing both Columbia and Cornell in Leede Arena.

Kyler, a 6-foot, 180-pound fifth-year senior from DeKalb, Illinois, threw for a career-high 325 yards on 18-of-23 passing with a pair of touchdowns to lead Dartmouth to a 38-21 triumph at 23rd-ranked New Hampshire on Saturday. With these touchdowns, the senior quarterback moves into third overall in career touchdown passes with 34 and ninth in career passing yards (3,395).

Taite Ryan, Jr, Winnetka, Ill., OH, Volleyball

Taite Ryan had a great performance in Dartmouth's 2-0 weekend against Columbia and Cornell. She ended up with 17 kills (2.43/set), .341 hitting percentage, one assist, two aces, 32 digs (4.57/set), one block assist and 19.5 points. She had her second double-double of the season against the Lions on Friday and was tied for first in digs (18) against the Big Red.
