Sophomore defender
Annie King scored her first career goal and freshman goalie

The first period was scoreless as both sides went back and forth. Dartmouth (4-5, 2-5 ECAC Hockey) controlled play early, but Saint Anselm (4-10-1, 3-4-1 NEWHA) battled late and fired off a series of shots that were saved by Emerson. The Big Green held a 13-10 advantage in shots as the score remained tied 0-0 headed into the first intermission.
The second period started similarly to the first and it looked like the game may head into the third still tied 0-0. King finally broke through for Dartmouth with just one minute remaining in the second. A puck found its way to her stick at the point and she fired it into the back of the net to give the Big Green a 1-0 lead. Herrington and junior forward
Currie Putrah assisted on the play and Dartmouth led the second intermission.
The Big Green extended their lead just four minutes into the third period. Herrington scooped up the puck off the boards and tucked it into the top right corner of the net just over the goalie's shoulder. Junior forward
Catherine Trevors received an assist on the goal. The Hawks finally answered with 7:35 left in the game. They scored on the power play to cut the lead to just one. The Big Green successfully warded off the rest of Saint Anselm's attacks and took home the 2-1 victory.
