LEDYARD CLASSIC
The Dartmouth men's ice hockey team hosts the Ledyard Classic on December 30 and 31. The Big Green play New Hampshire on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and will then play either Boston College or Mercyhurst on Friday. That game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
LOOKING BACK TO OUR FINAL AWAY GAME OF 2021
- Dartmouth played their final away game of 2021 when they took on Merrimack on December 17.
- The Big Green played to a 2-2 draw with the Warriors.
- Freshman Ian Pierce led the way, scoring the first two goals of his collegiate career.
- Seniors Harrison Markell and Sam Hesler provided the assists on the second goal.
- Sophomore Clay Stevenson made several highlight reel saves on his way to a career high 36 for the game.
THE BIG GREEN STATS
- Gallant leads the team in scoring with six goals this season. Senior Jeff Losurdo, sophomore Joey Musa, freshman Matt Hubbarde, and Pierce each have two goals.
- Freshman Sean Chisholm has a team-leading six assists so far this season. Junior Tanner Palocsik and Losurdo have five assists while Musa and Markell have four.
- Gallant, Losurdo, and Chisholm share the team lead in points with seven. Palocsik and Musa are tied for second with six points apiece.
- The Big Green have utilized two goaltenders this season, Stevenson and senior Justin Ferguson. Stevenson has played in six games, making 170 saves for a save percentage of .924. Ferguson has also appeared in six games, recording 137 saves with a save percentage of .846.
SCOUTING NEW HAMPSHIRE
- New Hampshire enters Thursday's contest with a 7-9-1 overall record.
- The Wildcats fell to Boston University, 2-1 in overtime, in Hockey East action in their previous outing on December 4.
- Jackson Pierson leads the team in scoring with six goals, while Filip Engaras and Liam Devlin are tied for second with four apiece.
- Tyler Ward and Kalle Eriksson share the team lead for assists with seven each.
- Pierson leads the team in points with nine while Engaras has eight.
- Mike Robinson has played the majority of minutes between the pipes for the Wildcats this season, making 247 saves in twelve games for a save percentage of .905.
SCOUTING BOSTON COLLEGE
- Boston College enters Thursday's game with an 8-5-3 overall record.
- The Eagles tied Boston University, 3-3, in Hockey East action on December 10 in their last game. BC picked up the extra point in the standings with a win in the shootout.
- Marc McLaughlin leads the team in scoring with 12 goals, followed by Jack McBain with nine and Patrick Giles with eight.
- Jack St. Ivany has 13 assists for the Eagles this season. Brandon Kruse is second with 12 assists, followed by McBain with 11.
- McBain has 20 points for the season through 16 games, while McLaughlin sits behind him with 17.
- Eric Dop has played in 14 of the 16 games in net for Boston College, making 328 saves with a save percentage of .901.
SCOUTING MERCYHURST
- Mercyhurst enters the Ledyard Classic with a 4-9-4 overall record.
- The Lakers fell to Miami University (OH), 7-4, on December 12 in non-conference action.
- Austin Heidemann and Carson Briere are tied for the team lead in goals with eight apiece.
- Jonathan Bendorf, Dante Sheriff, and Owen Norton each have nine assists this season.
- Heidemann leads the team with 14 points while Briere is right behind with 13.
- Kyle McClellan and Hank Johnson have split time between the pipes through 17 games, combining for 548 saves.
