HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth men's tennis team had another good day at its home tournament, winning five singles and all but one of its five doubles matches on Saturday.
Â
Five Big Green players went 2-0 on the day.
Anders Gibbons rebounded from a dropped first set to take the next two to defeat his opponent from Bryant, while
Sid Chari had a 6-3, 6-4 win over another player from Bryant. The pair kept the momentum going to win their doubles match, 6-4.
Â
Alejandro Quiles lost his first set to a player from Boston College, but won the next two, and, together with
Hikaru Takeda, the Big Green team had a 6-4 victory over the Eagles.
Andy Ilie had to go to three sets to down his opponent from Yale, falling in the first before claiming the next two. He paired up with
Alex Knox-Jones to win their doubles match against a Bulldog duo, 6-4.
Â
Logan Chang, too, had to go to three sets to win his match against a Monmouth player, while his doubles victory with
Sacha Pritzker was a lot easier, as the duo won by a score of 6-2.
