HANOVER, N.H. — The Big Green fell in a tight game to No. 8 Yale, Friday night by a score of 4-2. The game was tied 2-2 in the third before the Bulldogs pulled away. Freshman forward

Hannah Humphreys made 31 saves on 34 shots.
The game was scoreless through the first 20 minutes of play. Dartmouth (8-11-0, 2-10-0 ECAC Hockey) had two power plays in the first but was unable to convert. Yale (11-3-1, 6-2-1 ECAC Hockey) outshot the Big Green 11-10 in the period, but Humphreys stood tall and kept the game at 0-0 headed into the first intermission.
The action picked up in the second. Yale struck first, scoring six minutes in to take a 1-0 advantage. Messier evened the game up at 1-1 on the power play just over six minutes later. She received a pass from senior forward
Gabby Billing and streaked down the left side of the ice and fired it home. Senior defender
Lotti Odnoga was awarded the secondary assist. The Bulldogs would add one more goal with 1:30 left and took a 2-1 lead into the final period.
Fuoco scored four and a half minutes into the final period to tie the game for the second time and was assisted by junior forward
Currie Putrah The game remained tied at 2-2 until Yale broke through and scored the game winning goal with 9:22 left on the clock. The Bulldogs tacked on an empty net goal with 21 second remaining and the final score was 4-2.
The Big Green return to action, Tuesday night for a road matchup with Harvard. The game can be streamed on ESPN+ and puck drop is set for 6 p.m.
