Dartmouth (8-12-0, 2-11-0 ECAC Hockey) had a power play opportunity early to start the first but were unable to convert. Harvard (12-5-0, 9-3-0 ECAC Hockey) broke through right at the midway point to take a 1-0 lead with 10:06 remaining in the period. Emerson made an impressive save with just over two minutes left to keep it a one-goal game before the intermission.
The Big Green fell behind 2-0 five minutes into the second. The Crimson fired a shot from the point that deflected into the top corner to extend their lead. Dartmouth continued to battle and had 12 shots to Harvard's 15 in the period. The Crimson knocked in a shorthanded goal with 15 seconds left in the second and took a 3-0 lead into the third.
Harvard opened the final period with another goal. They scored 1:23 into the action to take a 4-0 lead. The Crimson closed out the game with four more goals to take home the 8-0 victory.
Dartmouth returns to action, Friday at No. 4 Quinnipiac. Puck drop is set for 6 p.m. and the game can be streamed on ESPN+.
