Dartmouth (8-13-0, 2-12-0 ECAC Hockey) fell behind quickly to start the first. St. Lawrence (11-9-5, 7-4-2 ECAC Hockey) struck just 1:13 into the game. A puck was deflected from the point and found its way past Emerson. Eight minutes later the Saints scored on the power play and extended their lead to two, but the Big Green quickly responded. Billing fired the puck over the goalie's shoulder into the top of the net to make the score 2-1. Junior forward
Georgia Kraus assisted on the play. Neither side broke through after that and it was 2-1 at the intermission.
St. Lawrence struck twice more in the second period. They scored with 1:47 left on the clock to bring a 4-1 lead into the third. The Saint added their final two goals in the first seven minutes of the final period and held a 6-1 advantage until Putrah scored on the power play to make the score 6-2 with 7:21 left to play. That score line held until the end and the Big Green suffered a loss at home.
Dartmouth returns to action tomorrow for a home matchup with No. 10 Clarkson. The game can be viewed on ESPN+ and puck drop is set for 3 p.m.
