HAMILTON, N.Y. — The Big Green battled to a tough loss 4-2 against No. 6 Colgate, Sunday afternoon on the road. Dartmouth goals were scored senior defender

Dartmouth (8-10-0, 2-9-0 ECAC Hockey) trailed 1-0 after the first 20 minutes of play. Colgate (16-4-1, 6-2-1 ECAC Hockey) scored with six minutes left in the period to take the lead. The Big Green had a 5-on-3 power play early in the period but were unable to convert. Junior goalie

The Big Green battled back in the third. The Raiders scored just under two minutes into the second to take a 2-0 lead. Dartmouth came to life after that. Odnoga scored from the point on the power play to cut the lead to 2-1. With four minutes left in the second Hill tallied the equalizer, and the game was tied 2-2. Colgate found the back of the net with five seconds remaining in the period to make the score 3-2 headed into the final period of play.
Colgate scored once more in the third to take a 4-2 lead. The goal came on the power play with 9:53 left on the clock. The Big Green continued to fight but could not find the back of the net in the final 20 minutes and the game ended with a final score of 4-2. The team returns to play with more ECAC Hockey action at home next weekend. They take on Yale, Friday night at 6 p.m. and Brown, Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. Both games can be streamed on ESPN+.
