- Uwill: Starting Tuesday, November 1st all students will have access to Uwill, a free teletherapy service. Students can choose a therapist based on their preferences at times that fit with their schedules. See flyers for more information: HERE, HERE, and HERE.
- Politics Parodied with Mike Gillis '12, Jeremy McLellan, and Evan Sayet. Wednesday, November 2nd, 7-8pm, Loew Auditorium (BVAC). Seating first come, first served. The Dartmouth Political Union and the Dartmouth Jack-o-Lantern will co-host a bipartisan panel on political satire, featuring Mike Gillis '12, chief writer of the left-leaning political humor publication The Onion, Jeremy McLellan, a stand-up comedian and media activist, and Evan Sayet, conservative comedian and creator of The Right to Laugh – a night of Conservative Comedy.
- 50 Years of Coeducation at Dartmouth: Student and Faculty Perspectives. Thursday, November 3rd, 7:00pm, Filene Auditorium, Moore Hall, Livestream Link: https://dartgo.org/coeducationat50/. Members of the first co-ed class at Dartmouth, Martha Hennessey '76 and Jenny Kemeny '76, along with former Dartmouth Government Professor Lynn Mather share their experiences as trailblazers who helped changed the face of Dartmouth. - Dartmouth is hosting COVID-19 vaccine clinics on Wed. Nov. 2, and Thur. Nov. 18 at which students, faculty, and staff can get a bivalent booster vaccine (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna). Clinics will be held from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. (with breaks from 12 to 1 p.m. and from 5 to 6 p.m.) in Alumni Hall at the top of the Hopkins Center for the Arts. - Don't be spooked! It's ok to enjoy some Halloween candy every once and awhile. A little bit won't negatively impact your performance.
- Soreness is not a marker of a good training session. It is more correlated to being under recovered and overtraining. Continued soreness could lead to a higher risk of injury and continuously underperforming due to fatigue. Soreness isn't a bad thing, but could be detrimental depending on when and how often it occurs.
- Headspace App is now available! Dartmouth has partnered with Headspace to provide a science-backed app for mindfulness and meditation. You received an email titled Headspace is now available on Thursday, September 8th from Wellness at Dartmouth and Student Wellness Center that covers the enrollment instructions. A webinar entitled "Getting Started with Headspace" will be offered Tuesday, September 20th from 12:30-1:00pm. You can register and save the date HERE.
