HANOVER, N.H. — Gail Koziara Boudreaux '82 and Family Head Coach of Women's Basketball
Adrienne Shibles was one of 12 honorees inducted into the Maine Sports Hall of Fame on Sunday. She was previously inducted into the Maine Basketball Hall of Fame in August.
Shibles, a native of Knox, Maine, was a two-time captain and 1,000-point scorer at Mt. View High School and went on to become the all-time winningest coach at Bowdoin College with a pair of NESCAC championships and 11 NCAA Tournament appearances to her credit. She led the Polar Bears to back-to-back NCAA Division III championship game appearances in 2018 and '19, and was named WBCA Coach of the Year in 2019.
"I'm honored to have been selected, and grateful for the opportunity to thank the people who have made an enormous difference in my life," Shibles said. "It was a special day"
Shibles is now in her second season with the Big Green, which begins Monday, Nov. 7 as Dartmouth hosts Bryant with tip-off scheduled for 6 p.m.
