Women’s Cross Country Places Sixth at NCAA Northeast Regional Championship

Corinne Robitaille paced the Big Green with a ninth-place finish to earn All-Region honors
NEW YORK — The Dartmouth women's cross country team returned to Van Cortlandt Park in New York for the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship on Friday morning.
The Big Green posted 208 points and took sixth in a field of 37 teams.
"I'm very proud of our women today," said head coach Kendra Foley. "The seven really came together and raced grittier and more confident than they had this season and it paid off for us. We finished 11th as a team last year, so to come out and finish sixth shows massive improvements and sets the bar for where we're trying to go."
Corinne Robitaille led the way for Dartmouth as she claimed ninth in 20:38.7. Next up for the Big Green was Julia Fenerty in 42nd with a time of 21:28.4. Madeleine Locher finished inside the top 50, taking 49th with a time of 21:35.1. Rounding out the scoring for the Big Green were Emily Levonas (21:39.9) in 51st and Caroline Livingston (21:43.2) in the 57th.
Providence and Syracuse finished in first and second to claim spots at next week's NCAA Championship. Fellow Ivy schools Columbia and Harvard took third and fourth in hopes of earning an at-large bid.
"Huge credit to Corinne Robitaille for racing confident and putting herself in a position to potentially make the national meet!" said Foley.
While Dartmouth's season as a team has come to an end, Robitaille still has the chance of earning an at-large individual bid to the NCAA Championship. The selection show is scheduled for Saturday, November 12, at 5 p.m.
Notes: Robitaille is the first top 10 finisher for the Big Green at the NCAA Northeast Regional since Glennis Murphy took 10th in 2018.
