HANOVER, N.H. – Porscha Dobson, the Marjorie & Herbert Chase '30 Director of Dartmouth Track & Field and Cross Country, has today announced that
Michelle Quinn,
Emma Cunningham and
Julia Fenerty have been selected as the captains of the women's track and field team for the 2022-23 season, as voted on by their teammates.
Quinn, a senior from Yorba Linda, California, competes in sprints for the Big Green. A season ago, Quinn had six top 10 finishes for Dartmouth, all coming in the outdoor season. Quinn was a part of the 4x400m teams that took second at the Ocean State Invitational and George Davis Invitational.
Hailing from Ramsey, New Jersey, Cunningham specializes in jumps for Dartmouth. Cunningham had five first-place finishes during the 2021-22 season including a top performance at the Florida State Relays where she won the long jump and ran a leg on the winning 4x100m team. She also finished second in the triple jump at the NEICAAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in May.
A senior from Franklin, Massachusetts, Fenerty is a distance runner for the Big Green. Fenerty ended the 2021-22 season with 10 top 10 finishes. She took second and third in the 1000m race and DMR at the Boston University David Hemery Valentine Invitational in February and followed that up with a seventh place and fifth place finish in the 1000m and DMR at the Ivy League Indoor Championships.
