The Dartmouth women's track and field team opens the indoor season at Harvard on Saturday for the HBCU and Ivy Challenge. The Big Green are competing in the meet for the second straight year.
Last year's edition of the meet saw
Lily Lockhart break the program record in weight throw, the first of several times she had done so last season, with a throw of 19.07m.
Maeve Conneely took first in the high jump with a mark of 1.66m.
Julia Reglewski finished third in shot put with a throw of 14.48m.
This year, the Big Green will compete against the Crimson and HBCU schools Howard and Delaware State.
After opening the season at Harvard, the Big Green will host their next three meets with the Dartmouth December Invite (Dec. 9-10), Dartmouth Relays (Jan. 13-14) and the annual DYC (Jan. 21).
The end of January sees the Big Green head out to Boston for the River Hawk Invitational. The first weekend of February will be busy for Dartmouth as they will be splitting up the squad to compete in three different meets, the New England Championship, Crimson Elite and the BU Scarlet & White.
The following weekend has the group split with some going to New Haven for the Yale Invite while the rest go back to Boston for the BU Valentine Invite. The Big Green head out to Notre Dame for the Alex Wilson Invitational for their final meet before the Ivy League Heptagonal Championship, hosted by Dartmouth at the Leverone Field House at the end of the month.
The beginning of March will see the Big Green compete for the ECAC Championship, held at Boston University. Dartmouth will look to qualify for the NCAA Championships during the second weekend of March in Albuquerque at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
