DartmouthSports.com Athletes of the Week - Adams and Page

The Big Green has moved indoors with the colder weather. The teams, however, are heating up as the season takes hold. Freshman David Adams narrowly missed setting a Dartmouth record in the pole vault. Sophomore Victoria Page had a career-night for the women's basketball team, scoring 25 points in a win over Monmouth.

Their efforts are rewarded by being named The Richards Group Athletes of the week.

Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition.

David Adams, Fr., Port Washington, Ohio, Pole Vault, Men's Track and Field

In its first home meet of the 2022-23 season the Big Green men's track and field had many personal best efforts. Freshman David Adams nearly broke the program record in the pole vault but finished just shy of it. His mark of 5.00m puts him second in the Dartmouth history as well as third in the Ivy League this season. The top mark is held by Max Consculluela at 5.12m set in 2016.

Victoria Page, So., Murfreesboro, Tenn., G, Women's Basketball

Victoria Page scored a career-high 25 points as the Dartmouth women's basketball team picked up its first road win of the season, 71-56, over Monmouth on Saturday afternoon at the OceanFirst Bank Center. Page's career scoring effort came as the sophomore went 3-of-6 from downtown, 10-of-19 from the field, and 2-of-2 at the line. Page set the tone early, opening the scoring with her first of three triples and scored again as the Big Green had the game's first five points.
