Klein and Blake Open The NCAA First Round Regional

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Dartmouth men's and women's track and field team opened the NCAA First Round Regional on Wednesday night at the University of Kentucky Outdoor Track and Field Facility.
Max Klein competed in the shot put after qualifying at the Ivy League Outdoor Championships with an 18.25m throw. The senior threw an 18.46m personal best in Kentucky and finished ranked 15th regionally after entering the day ranked 26th.
J'Voughnn Blake qualified for the regional after running a program record of 1:47.09 in the 800m at the Ivy League Championships. He finished 32nd regionally after completing the 800m with a time of 1:48.64.
Mariella Schweitzer and Andie Murray are scheduled to compete at the regionals tomorrow. Schweitzer will participate in the women's 100 hurdles at 6 p.m., while Murray will run in the 800m at 7:50 p.m.
