HANOVER, N.H. – Four Dartmouth track and field student-athletes have earned CSC Academic All-District honors, as announced by College Sports Communicators on Tuesday afternoon.
To qualify, student-athletes must have a top-50 individual performance at the NCAA cross country regional or a top-50 regional ranking in a single event (indoor or outdoor). Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. An undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale). J'Voughnn Blake, Max Klein, Noe Kemper and Jack Inglis are this year's recipients.
Blake earns the distinction for the first time in his career after a highly successful senior season where he qualified for the regional after running a program record of 1:47.09 in the 800m at the Ivy League Championships. He finished 32nd regionally after completing the 800m with a time of 1:48.64. This also marks Kemper and Inglis' first time given CSC All-District honors. Kemper qualified for the NCAA regional for the first time, ranking 39th regionally after an 8:49.89 finish in the 3000m steeplechase at the Penn Relays. Inglis was ranked 47th regionally in the decathlon after his second-place finish with 6551 points at the Ivy League Championships.
Klein is named to the All-District team for the second straight year after qualifying for the NCAA First Round at the Ivy League Outdoor Championships with an 18.25m throw. The senior threw an 18.46m personal best in Kentucky and finished ranked 15th regionally after entering the day ranked 26th.
