CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The Dartmouth women's track and field team opened the 2022-23 season at the HBCU and Ivy Challenge, hosted by Harvard at the Gordon Indoor Track.
Harvard finished with 133 points, followed by Howard (121), Dartmouth (100) and Delaware State (41).
Dartmouth got off to a strong start right from the get-go as they took 3-6 in the weight throw.
Julia Reglewski (15.30m) took third followed by
Olivia O'Connor (14.75m) in fourth.
Corinne Ahern (14.54m) claimed fifth while
Tennison Brady-Steen (14.15m) finished in sixth. Reglewski also took second in shot put with a throw of 14.08m.
In pole vault,
Maya Grudman took third with a mark of 3.65m, tying her personal best.
Chloe Taylor (3.50m) grabbed fourth followed by
Jenin Obeidat (3.35m) in fifth. Over in the jumps,
Bridget McNally finished second in long jump with a mark of 5.63m while
Maeve Conneely took first in high jump with a jump 1.60m.
Competing in her first meet for the Big Green,
Daniela Ruelas ran the 60m hurdles in 8.96 seconds, the sixth fastest time in program history.
Jada Jones finished the 60m dash in 7.70 seconds, the seventh best mark in program history.
The Big Green claimed 3-5 in the 600m run as
Annie Jackson took third with a time of 1:37.89 followed by
Andie Murray (1:38.78) and
Sara Fragione (1:44.00). Jones competed in the 300m dash, taking fourth with a time of 39.18.
The group of
Michelle Quinn, Ruelas,
Mariella Schweitzer and Jones took fourth in the 1760m relay with a time of 3:57.51.
The Big Green host the Dartmouth December Invitational next weekend at Leverone Field House.
