The Big Green fell behind early in the first. The Dutchwomen scored on a breakaway two minutes into the game to take the early 1-0 advantage. Nine minutes later, Union struck again and extended their advantage to 2-0. Dartmouth trailed headed into the second despite outshooting their opponent 11-9 through the first 20 minutes.
Both sides went back and forth to start the second. Each team went on the power play in the first eight minutes of the period, but neither could find the back of the net. Dartmouth ended the second on the power play but still trailed 2-0 headed into the final period of play.
Dartmouth fell behind 3-0 eight minutes into the third. Union scored on a 5-on-3 power play opportunity to extend their lead. Neither side scored for the rest of the period and the game ended with a score of 3-0.
The Big Green conclude their season at RPI tomorrow. Puck drop is set for 3 p.m. and the game can be streamed on ESPN+.
