HANOVER, N.H. — The Ivy League announced its All-Ivy League Teams in men's golf on Tuesday, and Dartmouth graduate student
Jason Liu was named to the first team while also earning a spot on the Academic All-Ivy League Men's Golf Team. This is his second All-Ivy honor for his play and third for his work in the classroom.
Liu earned his spot on the All-Ivy Team by virtue of tying for fourth at the Ivy League Championship this past weekend. The native of Windsor, Connecticut, carded a 74-73-74—221 (+8) at the Century Country Club in Purchase, New York, just three strokes off the pace. For the season, Liu produced a career-best stroke average of 73.15 over 27 rounds with four top-10 finishes.
A four-time captain for the Big Green, Liu is finishing up his graduate degree at the Thayer School of Engineering and owns a 3.82 GPA.
Dartmouth concluded the Ivy League Championship in fifth place at 52-over par, 17 strokes behind the champion, Yale. The Big Green tied for the low round on the third and final day of competition on Sunday.
Notes: Liu is the first Big Green player to make the first team since Ian Kelsey '18 in 2018 … Liu claimed a spot on the second team in 2019, the last year the Ivy League Championship was played due to the COVID-19 pandemic … Dartmouth has had at least one player earn all Ivy honors in 11 of the 12 seasons dating back to the 2009 campaign.
