HANOVER, N.H. – Marge & Ron Boss '61 Family Head Coach of Women's Tennis
Bob Dallis has announced the 2021-22 team awards.
Chidimma Okpara was named the Most Valuable Player. The Class of 1985 Award was given to
Jingyi Peng while
Elizabeth Fahrmeier and
Emily Zhou were both named Most Improved Player.
Okpara lands MVP honors after finishing the season 10-9 overall with a 1-3 Ivy League record at the #1 singles spot, earning her a spot on the All-Ivy Second Team Singles.
Peng, one of the team's two captains, receives the Class of 1985 Award, which is given annually to the player who embodies the values of Dartmouth women's tennis: sportsmanship, work ethic and team spirit.
Fahrmeier earns the most improved player honor after a season in which she was named Second Team All-Ivy Doubles, finishing with a 14-10 record at doubles alongside
Katie Weber. Zhou also earned MIP recognition, with a key victory for the Big Green in their 4-3 win over Columbia.
