HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth sailing program kicked off the 2022-23 season over the weekend. The Big Green took part in three regattas, hosted by MIT, Yale and Brown.
"We had a great opening weekend with lots of opportunity for learning and improvement," head coach
Justin Assad said. "Particularly at MIT, our women were able to rebound for a strong day on Sunday. We had solid performances at the Harry Anderson and the Bears Invite, and we are right where we need to be to continue to progress this season."
The Big Green placed sixth out of a field of 18 teams at the Toni Deutsch Women's Trophy event, hosted by MIT.
Gray Hemans and
Caroline Oyster competed in A division, while
Sarah Young and
Eliza Crocker set sail in the B division. Dartmouth was able to take home a win on Sunday, winning the day over 12 races.
At the Bears Invite, four teams hit the water for the Big Green in a field of 18.

Phoebe Lee all competed at Englewood Yacht Club over the weekend, as Dartmouth's second team finished ninth overall.

Taylor Eastman,
Madeleine Regulla and
Aisling Sullivan traveled to Yale to take part in the Harry Anderson Trophy event. The Big Green took part in nine races on Saturday and three on Sunday, finishing seventh in a field of 18 teams.
The Big Green set sail again this weekend in four regattas hosted by Brown, MIT, Bowdoin, Harvard and Boston University.
