HANOVER, N.H. —The Dartmouth women's tennis team opened the ITA Regional Friday at Thompson Outdoor Courts and Alexis Boss Tennis Center with a quartet of singles wins and a pair of doubles victories. Several are set to advance to the second day of action as they vie for a bid to the Super Regional.
Ujvala Jupalli,
Emily Zhou,
Chloe Yoo and
Valentina Cruz each won in singles, besting opponents from Siena, UMass and Providence. In doubles action, Yoo and
Elizabeth Fahrmeier are still alive after a second-round victory over a Sacred Heart duo.
Ameliija Swaffer-Selff and
Brooke Hess defeated their Quinnipiac counterparts in the opening round, but were later bounced by a Cornell pairing.
The second day of the single-elimination tournament begins Saturday morning.
