HANOVER, N.H. – Top Drawer Soccer announced its Freshmen Top 100 rankings on Wednesday afternoon and forwards
Vasilis Moiras and
Douglas Arveskär of the Dartmouth men's soccer team were featured on the list.
Moiras is listed at No. 27 while Arveskär comes in at No. 44.
The pair have played key roles for a Big Green side that currently sits second in the Ivy League with three conference games left.
Moiras leads Dartmouth in goals with five thus far, including two game-winners. He scored the winners against Stonehill and Penn in back-to-back appearances for the freshman. The Athens native features heavily at the top of the Ivy League leaderboard, sitting second in game-winning goals (2), third in points per game (1.10) and fifth in goals (5).
Arveskär is second on the team in goals with three. Each of his three goals have come at key moments for the Big Green. His goal against Holy Cross made it a 3-0 game, providing the necessary insurance as Dartmouth held on for a 3-1 win. He scored the late equalizer against UMass after the team played down a man for 72 minutes. His last goal was the game-tying goal against Princeton, a game the Big Green went on to win 2-1.
Dartmouth is back to action this weekend with a Saturday night game against Cornell at Burnham Field. Tickets for the contest are available for purchase through the Dartmouth Athletics ticket office.
