FIRST WEEKEND CONFERENCE SERIES
After opening league play last Friday, the Big Green are set to host RPI and Union for their first full weekend of ECAC Hockey action. Puck drop on Friday against the Engineers is set for 6 p.m. while Saturday's matchup against the Garnet Chargers is scheduled for 3 p.m.
GOOD START TO CONFERENCE PLAY
The Big Green picked up its first ECAC Hockey and Ivy League win of the season this past Friday with a 4-2 victory over Harvard at Thompson Arena. It was Dartmouth's first win over the Crimson since the 2015-16 season opener.
Hamilton Doster opened the scoring for the Big Green towards the end of the first period.
Cally Dixon added a power play goal with just .7 seconds left in the second period.
Jenna Donohue and
Lauren Messier both tallied goals in the final frame to give Dartmouth the added insurance.
Eleanor Rogers made 20 saves in the contest to claim her second win of the season.
WEEKLY HONORS
Rogers was named the ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week on Tuesday after helping the Big Green to a 2-0 start. Over the course of the two games, Rogers made 45 saves and boasts a .918 save percentage.
SCOUTING RPI
RPI enters Friday's game with a 4-1-3 record. The Engineers are coming off a weekend split against Syracuse. This will also be the first ECAC Hockey contest of the year for RPI.
Ellie Kaiser has scored four goals for the Engineers thus far, with Nyah Philip and Nina Christof each scoring three. Sabrina Beaudoin, Sophia Jones, Andrea Trnková and Marah Wagner have each tallied four assists.
RPI has utilized three goaltenders this season with Amanda Rampado starting in six of those games. Rampado has made 155 saves and boasts a .963 saves percentage.
The Big Green are 21-10-4 all-time against the Engineers. They split the season series in 2022-23 as Dartmouth claimed a 2-0 win in Troy, New York in early November while RPI won the return matchup at Thompson in late January.
SCOUTING UNION
Union enters the weekend with a 3-5-0 overall record and will play Harvard on Friday evening in its first league contest of the season. The Garnet Chargers are coming off a 0-2 non-conference weekend against RIT.
Riley Walsh leads the team in goals with six while Maddie Leaney has three goals. Kendal Davidson and Emily King both have five assists for Union and Walsh currently has four.
The Garnet Chargers have used three goaltenders so far this season with Sophie Matsoukas leading the way with five starts. Matsoukas has made 138 saves and has a .885 saves percentage.
Dartmouth holds a 30-6-2 all-time lead over Union. They split the series a year ago as the Garnet Chargers won in overtime at Messa Rink in early November while the Big Green won the contest in Hanover in late January.
