PRINCETON, N.J. — Six from the Dartmouth men's tennis team turned in strong showings at ITA Regionals, but those Big Green representatives couldn't replicate their success against some of the best the region has to offer on Friday at ITA Super Regionals.
Â
The doubles teams of
Miles Groom and
Waleed Qadir, and
Henry Ren and
Alex Knox-Jones were tasked with facing duos from host Princeton and dropped close matches, including Ren and Knox-Jones' super tiebreaker defeat.
Â
More Ivy League opponents, and narrow losses, followed in singles.
Henry Ren and
Yujiro Onuma dropped three-set matches to opponents from Princeton and Penn, respectively.
Xander Barber was swept by a Harvard opponent, but nearly claimed the first set, which featured a lengthy tiebreak.
Â
Dartmouth finishes its fall season with a trip to the Yale Invitational, which begins Saturday, Nov. 4.
