HANOVER, N.H. – The Ivy League announced its women's soccer All-Ivy and major awards on Wednesday afternoon, and five student-athletes from Dartmouth were among the honorees.
Senior
Taylor Williams led the way as she was named to the second team. Seniors
Daisy Granholm and
Emily Hardy and sophomore
Mary Lundregan earned spots on the honorable mention list. Additionally, senior
Grace Faulkner landed on the academic team.
Williams was a mainstay in the Dartmouth defense this season, playing all but 20 minutes over the course of the 15-game season. She tallied one assist, coming in the 1-1 tie at Boston College. Williams played a key role for the Big Green as they earned seven shutouts this year.
Granholm finished as the team leader in goals (3) and points (7). She scored a late goal in the season opener against Eastern Michigan. The next game, Granholm scored a penalty kick to lift Dartmouth to a 1-0 victory over Quinnipiac, the first win of the year. She later scored in the 1-1 draw against Columbia, earning a crucial point for the Big Green.
Hardy played every minute in goal for Dartmouth this season, making 73 saves. She recorded seven shutouts, tied for the sixth most in a season in program history. Hardy tallied a career-high 10 saves against Harvard.
Lundregan, operating as the team's left back, logged the fourth-most minutes played for field players this season. She scored her first collegiate goal, a game-winning goal, in the 1-0 victory over Merrimack in early September.
Faulkner, a two-year captain of the Big Green, earns a spot on the academic team for her performance on the field and in the classroom. She played all but four minutes this year, helping the Big Green to seven shutout wins. Faulkner is majoring in qualitative social science.
