Read up on the 10 Big Green teams in action this week
HANOVER, N.H. — Get ready for the week ahead as 10 Big Green teams are in action.
Skiing – Friday, Feb. 17 – Saturday, Feb. 18
Coming off its first carnival victory in nearly four years, Dartmouth looks to make it two in a row at the Williams Carnival on Friday and Saturday. The Nordic teams, which will compete at Prospect Mountain in Vermont, were bolstered by the return of several skiers at the FIS World Junior Skiing Championships with five podiums last week, led by the EISA Women's Nordic Skier of the Week, freshman Ava Thurston, who won the 10K classic. The alpine teams, heading to Jiminy Peak in Massachusetts for their races, provided three podiums of their own last week, including a victory in the giant slalom by another freshman, Oscar Zimmer. Friday's events will include the slalom and 10K classic, while Saturday will feature the giant slalom and the freestyle races — 10K for the men, 5K for the women.
Women's Squash – Friday, Feb. 17 – Sunday, Feb. 19
The Dartmouth women's squash team travels to Philadelphia for the 2023 College Squash Association (CSA) National Collegiate Women's Team Championships. The Big Green look to close out the season with a strong performance in the Kurtz Division, which is hosted by Penn. To view the full preview, please click here.
Women's Ice Hockey – Friday, Feb. 17 & Saturday, Feb. 18
The Dartmouth women's hockey team hits the road for its final two games of the 2022-23 season. The Big Green take on the No. 2/2 Yale Bulldogs Friday, February 17 before a season-ending matchup with the Brown Bears the following day. Men's Tennis – Friday, Feb. 17 – Sunday, Feb. 19
The Big Green welcome all of their follow Ivy League programs for the the 2023 ECAC Championships at Alexis Boss Tennis Center. Seventh-seeded Dartmouth will face No. 2 seed Columbia, who currently ranks 19th nationally, on Friday at 6 p.m. Currently 6-1 on the season, Dartmouth is coming off its first road trip, which saw a win over Purdue and a loss to Indiana. The freshman duo of Miles Groom and Waleed Qadir is undefeated at No. 1 doubles and Henry Ren and Hikaru Takeda are both 6-0 in singles action.
Women's Basketball – Friday, Feb. 17 & Saturday, Feb. 18
Following a four-game road stretch, Dartmouth will host Cornell on Friday and Columbia on Saturday looking to avenge previous losses to both squads. To view the full preview, please click here.
Men's Basketball - Friday, Feb. 17 & Saturday, Feb. 18
Standing 5-5 in Ivy League play and in the midst of the race for Ivy Madness, the Dartmouth men's basketball team will hit the road this weekend for two of its final four regular season games, at Cornell on Friday and Columbia on Saturday. To view the full preview, please click here.
Men's Ice Hockey – Friday, Feb. 17 & Saturday, Feb. 18
The Big Green close out the seven-game homestand with their final regular season home games at Thompson Arena. Dartmouth takes on RPI on Friday evening at 7 p.m. before facing Union on Saturday for senior day with puck drop scheduled for 5 p.m. To see the full preview, please click here.
Women's Lacrosse – Saturday, Feb. 18
Dartmouth women's lacrosse opens the 2023 season on Saturday when they take on New Hampshire in the Granite-State rivalry. Men's Swimming and Diving – Wednesday, Feb. 22 – Saturday, Feb. 25
Coming off a dual meet against Columbia that featured event victories from Tim Park and Joe Moll, plus a 200 freestyle relay win, Dartmouth is set to compete in the Ivy League Championships at Brown. The full preview will be released on Monday.
