Women’s Squash Advances to Kurtz Cup Final After Win Over Tufts

The No. 10 Big Green defeated the No. 11 Jumbos to secure a finals appearance

PHILADELPHIA — The Dartmouth women's squash team rolled to a 7-2 victory over No. 11 Tufts in the semifinal of the Kurtz Cup tournament. No. 10 Dartmouth was dominant in victory and has set itself up for a match with No. 9 Penn tomorrow morning to close out its division of the CSA National Collegiate Women's Team Championships.

Claire Aube picked up her second win of the season over Vharshamithraa Dinesh at position No. 1. The senior won the opening two sets and recovered after dropping the third, taking the match in four frames.

Emily Schuster, Chelsea Cho and Aubrey Lennon each recorded four set victories for the Big Green. Neeya Patel recovered from a 2-1 deficit in her match against Sanjana Vissapragada to win at position No. 6 in five frames.

Ellie Burke and Callie Worth were particularly dominant at the No. 4 and 9 positions, respectively, as the pair recorded Dartmouth's only sweeps of the afternoon.

The Big Green will face off with No. 9 Penn in the finals of the Kurtz Cup. First serve is slated for 11:30 a.m., with a live stream available on YouTube. A link to the action will be available on the women's squash team's schedule page on DartmouthSports.com.
