HANOVER, N.H. — Returning to the pool for the first time in nearly three weeks, the Dartmouth men's swimming and diving team is ready to compete in the 2023 Ivy League Championships, which begin Wednesday, Feb. 22 at Brown.
Dartmouth is coming off a competitive home meet against Columbia, highlighted by
Tim Park. The senior won the 200 fly (1:51.13), the 100 free (45.86) and was a member of the victorious 200 freestyle relay team. The Big Green also claimed the top two spots in the 500 free behind the performances of
Joe Moll (4:37) and
Yan Dvoretskiy (4:38.24).
The Big Green previously downed UMass in the Tate Ramsden Invitational by a score of 229-103 with multiple meet records to their credit. Dartmouth won 15 events in total, including the 200 and 400 freestyle relay teams (
Colton Rasmussen,
Tim Cushman, Moll and Park) that established historic times for the annual meet, which dates back to the 2010-11 season.
Park and
Alexander Ye won the 200 free and the 200 IM respectively against Yale and Penn the previous weekend. Three different Big Green swimmers (Park, Moll and Rasmussen) defeated Penn in the 200 free.
Dartmouth closed the 2022 Ivy League Championships with a pair of program records and will look to start strong in this year's iteration, which begins Wednesday at 6 p.m. with the 200 yard medley relay and the 800 freestyle relay.
