NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Dartmouth men's tennis team suffered a 5-2 road loss to Belmont on Thursday afternoon at the Belmont Tennis Complex, opening a four-match southern road trip.
The Bruins earned the doubles point despite
Alex Knox-Jones and
Logan Chang emerging victorious at the No. 2 position. Two singles wins followed for the Big Green, but they weren't enough to hold off Belmont in the 5-2 decision.
Carlos Guerrero Alvarez improved to 9-5 on the season at the top singles position and now holds a five-match win streak after edging Marko Ilic in a closely contested two-setter. Having won four of his last five and now holding a team-best 11-2 singles record, freshman
Henry Ren picked up a three-set victory at the No. 4 position.
The road trip continues Friday, March 17 as the Big Green visit No. 21 Middle Tennessee at 2:30 p.m. EDT (1:00 CT).
