Winter and spring collide in Hanover sports action
Cross-over season is coming to an end with winter sports all but wrapped up and spring sports in full swing. The men's basketball team ended on a high note, sweeping the Harvard Crimson at Leede Arena on senior night. Dame Adelekun put an exclamation point on his season with 19 points. Meanwhile, on a week still holding on to winter weather, Katina Christensen had six goals in two games for the women's lacrosse team.
Their efforts are rewarded by being named The Richards Group Athletes of the week.

Dame Adelekun, Sr., Gastonia, N.C., F, Men's Basketball
The Big Green men's basketball team wrapped up the season with an, 87-82, win over Ivy rival Harvard in Leede Arena. Senior Dame Adelekun led the way on Saturday, filling up the box score with 19 points, eight rebounds, five assists and four blocks. His points came in just 22 minutes due to foul trouble, shooting 8-of-12 from the floor. In the last 1:02 of action the 6-8 senior added his 52nd and 53rd blocks of the season which led the Ivy League.
Katina Christensen, So., Houston, Texas, A, Women's Lacrosse
Katina Christensen scored six goals over the course of two games for the Big Green women's lacrosse team. She scored four goals, two of which came in the fourth quarter, including the game-winner. The Big Green emerged victorious in their first-ever meeting with Bryant, 15-13. On Sunday, Christensen scored twice in the Ivy opener against Cornell, her unassisted tally with 4:39 remaining in the game marked her 10th goal of the year. She leads the Big Green with that number.
