LOWELL, Mass. — The Dartmouth women's track and field team closed out the weekend with the second day of the George Davis Invitational, hosted by UMass Lowell at Cushing Field.
The Big Green performed well in every event they competed in for the day, placing at least one athlete in the top five.
In the sprints,
Michelle Quinn and
Joy Enaohwo finished first and second in the 100m dash with times of 12.14 seconds and 12.26 seconds.
Jada Jones ran to a first-place finish in the 400m race with a time of 56.33 seconds.
Daniela Ruelas Lomeli snagged fourth in the 200m dash with a time of 26.21 seconds.
Annie Jackson and
Andie Murray claimed top five finishes in the 800m run. Jackson took the top spot with a time of 2:11.34 while Murray finished fourth with a time of 2:17.08.
The Big Green placed four runners in the top six of the 1500m race, with all four setting new personal bests.
Katherine Strong led the way, finishing first with a time of 4:28.04.
Corinne Robitaille took second, crossing the line at 4:29.84 followed by
Bella Pietrasiewicz (4:31.01) in third and
Emma Kerimo (4:34.69) in sixth.
Dartmouth performed well in the 3000m race, as six runners finished in the top eight.
Madeleine Locher (9:47.75) took first, followed by
Natalie Shapiro (9:50.34) in second,
Esme Huh (10:03.57) in fourth,
Emily Levonas (10:07.00) in fifth,
Mia Compton-Engle (10:24.17) in seventh, and
Sofia Abrego (10:28.85) in eighth.
Steph Finley ran a personal best time of 17:03.58 in the 5000m race to win the event.
Mariella Schweitzer took second in both the 100m hurdles and 400m hurdles, finishing with a PR of 1:04.38 in the 400m hurdles. Ruelas Lomeli ran for a new personal best time of 16.23 seconds in the 100m hurdles.
The group of Enaohwo, Quinn, Jones, and
Bridget McNally won the 4x100m relay with a time of 46.21 seconds.
Jackson, Murray, Pietrasiewicz, and
Sara Fragione took third in the 4x400m relay.
Maeve Conneely took first in the high jump after clearing 1.67m, the seventh-best mark in the Ivy League this season and tied for eighth all-time in program history.
Chloe Taylor and
Jenin Obeidat finished second and third in the pole vault after clearing 3.65m and 3.50m, respectively.
McNally and
Emma Cunningham took first and second in the long jump. McNally jumped a personal best distance of 6.11m, good for fifth in the Ivy League while remaining second all-time in program history. Cunningham jumped for a mark of 5.79m.
Cunningham claimed second in the triple jump with a jump of 12.04m, which is 10
th in the Ivy League.
Tori Laberge claimed sixth in the event after jumping a personal best distance of 11.36m.
Julia Reglewski (46.65m),
Autumn Clark (41.04m), and
Jamie Tatum (39.72m) went 1-2-3 in the discus throw.
Madyson Buchalski and
Corinne Ahern both finished in the top 10 for the javelin throw. Buchalski took fifth with a throw of 36.85m and Ahern claimed seventh with a throw of 35.20m.
Dartmouth competes at the UMass Pre-Conference Meet next weekend. The hammer throw is scheduled for Friday with the remaining events scheduled for Saturday.
