HANOVER, N.H. – The Big Green women's soccer team wrapped up the 2022-23 year with a banquet held at the Hanover Inn on Sunday.
The Larry Garrity Award, established in 1995 in honor of a faithful Dartmouth fan, is presented to the most outstanding first-year player, as selected by her teammates. Freshman
Mary Lundregan earned the award this season after playing in all 17 games, making 16 starts. Lundregan had a team-high seven assists, second-best in the Ivy League, and earned a spot on the Ivy League honorable mention team.
Senior
Isabella Villaflor was named the recipient of the Wally Bell Award. This award is given in memory of one of the team's most faithful fans, the father of Gretchen Bell '01, who will always be remembered by the program for his caring, generosity, kindness and support. The award is presented to the player, who in the opinion of her teammates upholds team values of trustworthiness, accountability and inclusion, as selected by her teammates.
The recipient of the Keith Kurowski Award was
Kellie Sutton. This award was established in memory of a true soccer fan and presented to a player whose teammates felt displayed Kurowski's same courage and enthusiasm despite great adversity and upholds the team's values of resilience, hard work and development.
Junior
Grace Faulkner earned the Lucinda Fernald Cup. This award was established in 1984 in honor of the first captain of the women's varsity soccer team by a gift from the Edward Tuck '50 family. It is presented to the player who best displays dedication to the Dartmouth women's soccer program and displays the team's values of cohesion, appreciation and humility, as selected by the coaching staff and teammates. Faulkner started all but one game for the Big Green this past fall.
Rounding out the awards was
Charlotte Cyr who earned the Player of the Year for the Big Green. This honor is presented to the player, who in the opinion of both her teammates and the coaches, was the most valuable on the field and upholds the team's stated values of competitiveness, ingenuity and excellence, as selected by her teammates. Cyr started all 17 games this season, and finished the league leader in saves (109), saves per game (6.41), save percentage (.832) and shutouts (5). An All-Ivy first team selection, Cyr was also selected to the New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) All-New England first team.

Aleena Seales' 30
th minute strike in the 1-0 victory over Penn on October 15 was selected as the goal of the year.
