Julia Fenerty and freshman
Katherine Strong of the Dartmouth women's track and field team competed in the NCAA East Regional Prelim on Saturday at the Jax Track at Hodges Stadium on the campus of the University of North Florida.

Fenerty competed in the quarterfinals of the 800m race while Strong ran in the quarterfinals of the 3000m steeplechase.

Strong opened the evening in Heat 1 of the steeplechase. She finished 11
th in the heat with a time of 10:37.17, taking 33
rd overall.

Fenerty qualified for the quarterfinals after finishing in the top 12 of the first round on Thursday evening. Competing in Heat 2, Fenerty finished fifth with a time of 2:05.45 and was in the final spot of qualification heading into Heat 3. Fenerty was edged by Imogen Barrett of Florida for the final qualifying spot for nationals in early June.
