Field Hockey – Friday, Sept. 15
Off to its best start since 2011, the Dartmouth field hockey team heads to Harvard on Friday for its Ivy League opener at the No. 15 Crimson. The Big Green are coming off a thrilling 4-3 overtime win over Merrimack in a game which saw them hold a 55-8 edge in shots, with freshman Ella Bowman putting home the game-winning goal 5:11 into overtime off a penalty corner. This Friday's game begins at 5 p.m. and can be seen on NESN+ and ESPN+. For the complete preview, please click here.
Â
Women's Tennis – Friday, Sept. 15-Sunday, Sept. 17
Dartmouth opens its fall season at the International Tennis Hall of Fame Women's Collegiate Invitational in Newport, Rhode Island for a second straight year. The Big Green will compete in a grass court doubles tournament against opponents from across the region, while also enjoying the opportunity to take in the historic setting. Brooke Hess and Ujvala Jupalli started last year's invitational with back-to-back wins for a run to the East Semifinals.
Â
Ameliija Swaffer-Selff and Lexi Dewire will serve as captains for the Big Green during the 2023-24 season. Dartmouth hosts two events in the fall: the Fall Foliage Fest (Sept. 29-Oct. 1) and the Big Green Invitational (Nov. 3-5).
Â
Men's Tennis – Friday, Sept. 15-Sunday, Sept. 17
The Big Green head to the Penn Invitational to begin their fall slate. Dartmouth, who returns the entire roster from a season ago, competed in the same event in September 2022 with Carlos Guerrero Alvarez picking up a win over Penn's Edoardo Graziani, the defending Ivy League Player of the Year at the time.
Â
The Big Green return home Friday, Sept. 22 to host the three-day Dartmouth Invitational, which is the only fall action in Hanover.
Â
Volleyball – Friday, Sept. 15-Saturday, Sept. 16
Looking to build a 2-1 weekend in the Dartmouth Invitational, the Big Green head to New York for the Rose Hill Classic to battle Fordham and FDU. To view the full preview, please click here.
Â
Football – Saturday, Sept. 16
While Dartmouth will be the absolute last NCAA team to kick off its season, the wait is worth it as the Big Green go up against their in-state rival, 11th-ranked New Hampshire. With the Wildcats' 14-0 victory in Hanover last year, they have taken a slim 20-19-2 lead in the all-time series.
On a solemn note, Dartmouth will be playing without Buddy Teevens, the Robert L. Blackman Head Football Coach for the past 18 years, on the sideline as he continues to recover from a bicycle accident he suffered back in March. Not only will the team wear a BT decal on their helmets throughout the season, every team in the Ivy League will as well as a show of support for the Ancient Eight legend. Rugby – Saturday, Sept. 16
The Big Green are on the road for a third straight, taking on Princeton in their second NIRA match of the season. To view the full preview, please click here.

Sailing – Saturday, Sept. 16 – Sunday, Sept. 17Â
The Big Green sailing team will take part in four regattas in its second weekend of the 2023-24 season. Dartmouth will set sail at the New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association (NEISA) Singlehanded Championship, the NEISA Women's Singlehanded Championship, Hatch Brown Trophy and Regis Trophy events.Â
Â
Last weekend was highlighted by a strong performance from the pair of Ryan Satterberg and Lilly Baker at the Harry Anderson Jr. regatta. The duo claimed a division title, winning four races against a field of 18 teams.Â
Â
Last season, Dartmouth's Sarah Young put on an impressive performance at the NEISA Women's Singlehanded Championship. She went on to place fourth at the 2022 Women's Singlehanded Championship later in the fall. The Big Green hope for similar success from Young this weekend.Â
Women's Golf – Saturday, Sept. 16-Sunday, Sept. 17
The women's golf team opens its fall slate of tournaments this weekend at the Springdale Golf Club for the Princeton Invitational on Sept. 16-17. The Big Green wrapped up the 2022-23 campaign with a third-place finish at the Ivy League Championship, and with all but one player returning this year, they are in great position to climb up the standings.
Â
Senior Katherine Sung and junior Claire Xu will serve as captains for the team led by Alex Kirk, the Carolyn A. Pelzel '54a Head Coach of Women's Golf, who is in his 11th season. Sung broke her own program record for stroke average last year by a full stroke (74.27) and is poised to set a Big Green career record for birdies. Both she and Xu earned a spot on the All-Ivy League Second Team last year, as did freshman Sophie Thai, who led the team with 61 birdies as a rookie.
Â
To start the year, Kirk will start a lineup of Sung, senior Penelope Tir, Thai, sophomore Hope Hall and freshman Caroline Chung with Xu playing as an individual. Four other Ivy opponents will be part of the 11-team field — Columbia, Harvard, defending champion Penn and host Princeton — giving Dartmouth an early assessment about how it ranks in the league. The other teams competing are UAlbany, Boston University, FDU, Georgetown, Seton Hall and St. John's. Live scoring will be available on the Golfstat website.
Men's Golf – Saturday, Sept. 16 – Sunday, Sept. 17Â
The Dartmouth men's golf team heads to Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania for its second tournament of the fall season this weekend. The Big Green will take part in the Temple Invitational, hosted at the 1912 Club.Â
Â
The Big Green will test themselves against 13 other teams this weekend, including Ivy League foes Cornell and Penn. Dartmouth will continue to develop as a team through the early stages of the season, which includes the Temple Invitational this weekend.
Women's Soccer – Sunday, September 17
Coming off a 4-0 victory over Iona on Wednesday, the Big Green look to continue their historic start to the season with the non-conference finale against UMass Lowell on Sunday afternoon at Burnham Field. The 5-0-2 start through seven games is the longest the Big Green have started the season unbeaten in program history.
Men's Soccer – Saturday, Sept. 16 + Tuesday, Sept. 19Â
Dartmouth is set for a pair of home non-conference games in the coming days against Stonehill and Merrimack. The Big Green look to build off their last two matches and create momentum as the Ivy League schedule approaches.Â
Â
The Big Green last took the pitch in Amherst, Massachusetts for a meeting with UMass. Dartmouth battled adversity after an early red card and goal against to earn a 1-1 draw. The Big Green look to build upon this performance at home.Â
Â
A full preview for both games will be released Friday.Â
